Prototype die castings in magnesium and aluminium

By means of the Quick Die process, we can deliver real prototype die castings in magnesium and aluminium within only 4-8 working weeks.

The principle

The process sets out in a conventional die casting process but due to usage of soft steel variants, tooling production in China, and our own unique concept for tool simplification we are able to reduce the delivery time and tooling costs without comprimising on the high quality that Formkon is known and recognized for.

Quick Die – Background

Formkon has 25 years of experience in designing parts and making tools for die casting. During the past 15 years all our die casting tools have been produced in low cost countries. Eight years ago Formkon established its own department in China to increase its tooling activities and to introduce and develop the Quick Die process.

Danish engineering and support

All engineering and customer support is carried out from our Danish Headoffice. Here we have a handfull of die casting engineers each with more than 15 years of experience in designing tools and parts for die casting. This ensures you a very professional support and close dialog regarding the development of your new die casting product.
