Foundation

Formkon was founded in 1985. At that time, its business focused on the development, construction and manufacture of die-casting tools for the northern European die-casting industry. Since 1985, we have constructed and produced more than 500 die-casting tools. The experience we gained from this became the starting point for our Quick Die die-casting concept.

Establishment of prototype foundry – Quick Cast

In 1995, Formkon set up its own prototype foundry in Skive as an additional boost to its tool business. For 15 years, it has been producing Quick Cast prototype magnesium castings and aluminium castings and a whole range of other metals. With our prototype foundry, we can also offer other processes such as plaster casting and CNC milling.

Formkon in China – Quick Die

In 2004, Formkon set up a separate department in Ningbo, China. This enabled us to improve our tool construction performance and continue developing the Quick Die process.

Product range

Today we offer prototypes and 0-series castings in magnesium and aluminium. With our own prototype foundry in Denmark and the department in China, we can offer two unique processes: Quick Cast and Quick Die.
