Following 3D modelling, FORMKON offers to carry out 2D documentation. These drawings are made according to the customer?s wishes for degree of details, special requirements regarding cosmetic details of drawings, etc.
Here, the connection between 3D and 2D in the Pro-Engineer system is unique because changes made to the 3D model are automatically registered in the 2D documentation.
Once the 3D modelling process has been completed, the construction of the die can start, assisted by FORMKON if required by the customer. Die construction is also carried out on the Pro-Engineer workstations; this way, the customer can be sure that we use the same data files as we used for the prototyping and 3D die construction work.
Later on, when a customer needs to communicate with a potential tool manufacturer, FORMKON has wide experience in importing/exporting almost all kinds of known data file formats, including STEP, IGES, VDAFS, STL, etc.
